Festival survival guide (a starting point)

Image
Welcome to my festival survival guide, including the dos, the don'ts and the best ways to stay clean and safe during the festivities! Camping There's plenty to research when it comes to festival camping. Whether you're bringing your own tent, glamping or using a vehicle. If you're taking your own tent and gear, you'll need to check weights and sizes, making sure they comply with festival guidelines. If you're travelling via Air, for example, you'll need to make sure you book the right sized backage and that weights comply with flight restrictions. If you're glamping, check out prices and location of pre-set up tents/ homes to make sure you're getting the best deal, but also to make sure you're aware of the surroundings you are being placed in. There are ways to keep things as easy and as simple as possible, perhaps by bringing a pop-up tent, using lylows as mattresses and of course checking the festival website to see if you can purchase...

Sziget 2020 Line-up

Image
After what felt like a lifetime, at 3pm on the 12th of February, Sziget announced their lineup. Of course it's not complete just yet, but in my opinion, a rather good start has been made. Most of the main headliners have been announced, with a few more left to keep us on our toes! In this post, I will breaking down some of my favourite announcements, and leaving a few guesses surrounding the other headliners yet to be announced. The schedule has yet to be announced, so for the purpose of this post, I'll just work my way through 😊 I'm going to start with Bakermat. I was meant to see him last year in Benicassim, however, due to circumstances he had to pull out last minute. I was looking forward to his set, so I'm happy with this announcement. I think he, along with Sam Feldt, deffinatly give off the island vibes that are to be expected by most attending. I wrote about Mabel in my Reading and Leeds reaction, however, I believe she's worth mentioning ag...

Reading and Leeds Lineup 2020 + my thoughts

Image
At 9am this morning, the Reading and Leeds first lineup announcement was released. As far as lineups go, this one is a pretty big deal, and this year was no different. Of course, we already had one headliner confirmed, but this only created more nerves amongst Reading and Leeds fans (something we'll touch on more later). So, without further ado, here's the official lineup poster and my views on it. For this post, I will be using the Leeds Poster, but be sure to check out the Reading version on the website! https://www.readingandleedsfestival.com/ Let's start with a few of the acts that got me excited. FRIDAY Firstly, The Hunna, a band I've had the pleasure of seeing once before at Fib in 2019. I'd never really been a fan before, but encouragement from a friend made me decide to go and check them out. They put on a great show, and what's more I enjoyed myself without knowing any of the songs. For me, these guys are a very welcome addition to any fe...
